In our last post, we shared with you the vision of the Coffee House Ministry. Today, we would like to share with you stories from this ministry.
Recently, Celia who attends church with us received a call from a coworker who was going through a relationship problem. The friend asked her if she could meet her for coffee in Santiago (area of the city we are located) to talk. She immediately knew that The Coffee Bean was the place to go. They arrived at the coffee house and after speaking with her she asked if she would be ok speaking with me. The three of us were able to speak, pray, she repented of the sin in her life and surrendered her life to Christ. All this took place on the sofa in the Coffee House.
Over the last couple of weeks, a young man who we met through a couple in church has begun coming by the Coffee House to visit. He is a young man who has struggled with drug addiction and unhealed emotional hurts. The Coffee House has been a safe place where he comes to talk to us. This week, we agreed to set up a weekly visit to meet here to mentor and support him in his recovery.
Moments like this are why we have opened the Coffee House. So if you find yourself in Manzanillo come to The Coffee Bean Roasting Company for a great coffee, to support our ministry, and meet new friends.
